Using a qualitative analytical method on case studies of historical and contemporary alliances, such as NATO, the European Union, and the Paris Agreement, this research explores how ideology becomes a binding foundation between states as well as a trigger factor for internal conflicts within alliances. The results show that during the Cold War era, ideology was the main factor that divided the world into antagonistic political blocs, but the era of globalization brought changes to the role of ideology. In the modern era, ideology functions more as a flexible shared value, accommodating global interests that cross traditional ideological boundaries. Ideology remains relevant in strengthening solidarity and providing international legitimacy, but ideological differences can trigger tensions within alliances. The study concludes that the role of ideology in international relations is evolving from an exclusive one to a more pragmatic one, adjusting to more universal global interests and issues. The implications of these findings suggest that future political alliances will focus more on inclusive transnational values as a response to global challenges
2024-10-28T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Muhammad Budiana https://myjournal.or.id/index.php/JSCR/article/view/278 Education and Training to Improve Human Resources Quality in Maritime Transportation Industry 2024-11-08T17:42:16+00:00 Yuda Muhamad Admiral myuda3756@gmail.com
This study aims to analyze the effect of education and training (Diklat) and the quality of training instructors on improving the quality of human resources (HR) in the sea transportation industry. This industry requires high quality human resources to ensure operational effectiveness and competitiveness in the era of globalization. The research method used is quantitative with a survey approach. The results showed that Training and Instructor Trainers have a significant and positive influence on the quality of human resources. The t-test results show that training has a coefficient of 0.722 and training instructors of 0.866, both of which are significant at the 0.000 level. The F test yielded a value of 78.436 with a significance of 0.000, indicating that the regression model as a whole is significant in predicting HR quality. The R Square value of 0.615 indicates that 61.5% of the variation in HR quality can be explained by the Training and Instructor Trainer variables.Based on these results, it is concluded that quality education and training programs, as well as competent training instructors, play an important role in improving the competence and performance of HR in the maritime transportation industry. The findings provide implications for company management in increasing investment in HR training to achieve better competitiveness in the sector.
2024-11-08T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Yuda Muhamad Admiral https://myjournal.or.id/index.php/JSCR/article/view/262 The Influence of Multinational Corporations on Global Political Decisions 2024-10-28T14:54:52+00:00 Muhammad Budiana m_budiana70@unpas.ac.id
This study aims to analyze the influence of multinational corporations (MNCs) on global political decisions through various strategies, such as lobbying, strategic partnerships, and corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs. MNCs now act not only as economic entities but also as powerful political actors, especially in environmental, international trade and health issues. This research uses a qualitative approach through literature review, policy analysis, and in-depth interviews with experts in international economics and politics. The results show that PMNs can shape policies that benefit their business interests through political lobbying and alliances with international organizations, especially in strategic sectors such as energy and pharmaceuticals. In developing countries, CSR is used to solidify their influence over society and public policy, often creating a power imbalance between PMNs and local governments. The findings indicate the need for more transparent global governance and stronger oversight mechanisms to ensure that the power of PMNs does not threaten state sovereignty and support sustainable development. This research provides recommendations for international organizations to fairly regulate the influence of FDIs, for the sake of global prosperity.
2024-09-07T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Muhammad Budiana
